I am looking for a destination wedding in Costa Rica.?

I want something that is not tourism. We would like a nice, quiet place near beautiful, if not beach. We also want to do some local activities such as horseback riding on the beach, canopy tours, snorkeling etc. I'm looking for any suggestions of where go and where to avoid. We're not independently wealthy, so we are looking for a more profitable way to have fun. Also, if anyone can give pros and cons of Atlantic vs. Pacific side, I would appreciate the input. Thanks! Costa Rica is a tourist country, so any place that is beautiful is likely to have tourists. I guess I knew, and what it meant by "tourist" is a place with a lot of large tourist resort hotels and large quite impersonal. Fortunately, there is a lot of that type of tourism in Costa Rica - if you avoid the complex Papagayo in Guanacaste, and the Lost Dreams Tambor Playa Herradura, near Jaco complex. The side of the Atlantic is much less developed but it rains a lot - except in September - What most of the year, the Pacific side is where you go. My recommendation would go to some place like Manuel Antonio - the views are spectacular and there are hotels Parador as found in quiet settings (there are others just as good, but only Parador comes to mind). Get a good guide book like Lonely Planet or Fodors check out their options. Sunday is an option, but I think its location is a little awkward for the kind of things you want to do. If you are a little more "alternative" Mal Pais and Montezuma test in Nicoya penninsula - there are a few places around that would be great.
