Taking my 5 and 6 year old children to the beach?

I am taking my 5 children and 6-year-old Myrtle Beach, SC. They have never gone to the beach and I have never taken on a trip like this. I'm trying to be money conscious as I am a single mother. As we reached the beach I need to have my very own equipment (beach chairs, umbrellas, etc) or I can rent it? and if so where I can rent from? Are their places on the beach to do this or I have to do before we get there? Thanks in advance!

If you want to hire your team it really depends on what beach you go a. If you have all that I suggest you take them with you. Beach chairs, in my opinion, unnecessary unless you have a back problem or something and is unable to sit on the floor. Take a large towel or blanket to put on. If you have a beach umbrella, or simply a very large, then take it. You may or may not find a place to rent one. Would be common. If it is not possible to buy one. I would say that K-Mart or Walmart might have them at a great price (but do not quote me. You can try craigslist as well.) Apart from this, I just suggest to be prepared for anything. Take a cooler laptop. If you have one, stick an ice pack in there with ice and drinks. Take band aides, food, etc. In general I suggest to do everything before we get there. To the end is easier and often cheaper (again, depending on what you are going to the beach). Hope that helped.
