The stunning beaches of Cape Town

While Cape Town is certainly known for its proximity to many wineries and routes, there are numerous beaches in the local area that are ideal if you are a fan of beach. In those wonderful beaches you can fly a kite, riding, surfing the waves, diving in shallow water deeper, see the penguins, sail on a hobie-cat, explore an historical shipwreck or just sunbathing.

Big Bay and Little Bay is the perfect place if you want to take a family trip, fly a kite, windsurf or enjoy the mountain views. These beaches stretch about 20 miles north of Town Cape and offers absolutely spectacular views of the mountain. Strong winds from the east to south-provides the perfect opportunity for kitesurfing and even hobie cat sailing.

Boulders Beach in Simons Town is the ideal place for snorkeling, swimming protected and penguins. If you are looking for a quiet beach destination, it is definitely the same. You will find the city Simons be a quaint beach town that is a seaport navy earlier. This is the last village is reached before reaching Cape Point Nature Reserve. Boulders Beach is a few miles away. The giant rocks along the beach provide privacy and wind protection. Make sure you are on the lookout for the hundreds of Jackass penguins that make their home in the local area. Listen to them once and you'll quickly understand how they got their name.

Camps Bay is the perfect beach for sunbathing, surfing, diving, windsurfing and beach volleyball. The fine sand and palm trees that dot the beach are the perfect setting for a family picnic, while restaurants and shops offer a great opportunity to escape the midday sun.

Clifton Beach is the place to see and be seen. It is also an ideal place to watch gliders, as they come in for a landing. Of course, if you simply want to sunbathe, is very good for that too. Relax on the beach and watch the yachts rest in the waters shallow or grab a favorite book and catch up on your reading. Just do not be surprised by the true rainbow of paragliders as they sail under Lions Head to catch updrafts before landing at Clifton Beach.

Fish Hoek Beach is known for boogie boarding, sailing, swimming safe and pure family fun. The warm waters here are perfect for swimming. If the candle is on your agenda, this beach is also ideal for carrying out a hobie cat-agile to give a quick tour through local waters. There is also a playground and a cafeteria. The other end of the beach is suitable for boogie boarding and sunbathing.

If you want to sunbathe, sail, dive or fly a kite, you will find there are plenty of beaches in Cape Town that will offer a broad opportunities to do everything.
