The best beach in Turkey

When people think of the beaches of tail usually think of places like California, Florida or Hawaii, but rarely think of a country like Turkey. Despite being little known, Turkey vacations offer a wide variety of beaches that stretch along the Mediterranean Sea.

In this article we will look at the ten best beaches in Turkey.

Patara Beach: Patara is the longest beach in the Mediterranean, and was acclaimed by The Sunday Times as the best beach in the world. The accommodations are limited, loungers and parasols are available for rent, and is supported by the ancient ruins and dunes.

Oludeniz Beach: Oludeniz, famous beach Turkey, and therefore in high season is the busiest. There is good to stay in hotels, bars very good, water sports, diving and is surrounded by resorts.

Olympus: If you want a more relaxed and romantic, this is the beach for you. It is much more isolated and smaller than the other two beaches mentioned so far, and is backed by a forest which is full of Roman ruins.

Side: Side is just an hour from the airport, and is very popular with holiday groups. There is a town and a beach full of sand and some Roman ruins nearby.

Iztuzu Beach: Iztuzu Beach is a national conservation area, and is one of the breeding sites seen in the Europe of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. Can only be reached by a 20 minutes boat ride from the nearby town of Dalyan. There are plenty of beach and the water is warm and shallow. Nearby, there are some cliff tombs can be explore as well.

Cleopatra Beach (Alanya): Alanya is one of the largest ski resorts in Turkey, and the beach of Cleopatra is splendid and very popular. The beach and the resort offers excellent accommodation, facilities and things to do. There is also an old fort nearby.

Kemer: Kemer is basically a coastal city built by the sea. There are a number of small beaches you can visit as well as many opportunities for day trips. Most the beaches are composed of small stones, although there are some sandy beaches.

Bodrun: Bodrun houses the original mausoleum, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is also home to the Castillo de San Pedro, which used to be a stronghold of the Crusaders, but now serves as the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. The City beaches are small, but many people visit them at the last minute sightseeing.

Pamucak Beach: Most of the beach is public, but on the south side there are some resorts. Close to the Aqua Fantasy water park, and a small hotel, where you can enjoy refreshments and amenities. Water is pretty hectic, and there life guards, so be careful.

Sinop: Sinop has many fascinating things to see and the beaches are small. Because the water comes from the Black Sea can be quite cold too.
