Shek O Beach?
The name "Shek O" literally means Bay Rocky.
Shek O Beach is a sandy beach in the south-east of the island of Hong Kong. Water quality is fair and is newsletter officer grade 2 with a network of shark.
It is very popular on weekends and holidays.
Many excellent restaurants at reasonable prices. Choose among Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Western style.
A lot of toilets and showers.
Almost Free
Entrepreneur pensioners sunbeds ($ 5) and / or umbrella ($ 20). Beach mats, swim, hats, sunscreen, buckets and spades, inflatables and all sorts of beach available paraphanalia in nearby stores. Prices very reasonable, although they appear twice on holidays.
Parking
Ample free parking, but usually full by 10 h. of weekends and holidays. Several enterprising homeowners are happy to rent the space in front and behind their homes for just $ 30/hour. Look for the ladies with the 'tables P' waving madly at passing cars.
Public transport
Buses n ยบ 9 Shau Kei Wan and No. 309, Central (only available on Sundays and holidays).
Green mini bus 16x route No. Chai Wan Station
Hong Kong Park
If the weather is nice, Hong Kong park is a great day. It buggyable with plenty of seating.
Kids will love the aviary, fountain, lake, waterfall and playground.
A lot of bathrooms clean distributed throughout.
The restaurant is very nice and provides high chairs. All outdoor seating for nonsmokers, as it is located within the park.
Two other kiosks selling soft drinks, coffee ice cream and the other is inside the Museum of Tea.
The park is 1,000 square feet on six levels. It is a bit of a hike, but worth it. Children will be delighted to here at least an hour. Large sandpit with diggers!
Parking
20/hour Available at Pacific Place in $. Up through the mall and take the escalators directly to the park.
Peak: Victoria Peak Garden
Not normally thought of as being "free", you can spend a wonderful day at the peak to nothing or almost nothing.
Victoria Peak Garden is one of the few large expanses of green grass where children can run free. Flying while enjoying the beautiful gardens.
Click picnics, balls, kites, blankets, bubble wrap ... nothing.
It's a bit difficult to walk up. Going down is fine as the road is paved.
Almost Free
Take a taxi from the Gallery Pico and make life easier.
Meters at the top. Not on Sundays and holidays.
