Rhodes is the best island to visit in Greece

Rhodes is one of the most beautiful Greek islands. This island is very closely located on the southwest side of Turkey. This island is considered one of the largest island in the world in the area about 18 km and a population around 20,000. This is an incredible tourist destination and several people from different parts of world visit this island every day. The main attraction of this island is the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the most beautiful in the world. Also the medieval Old Town of Rhodes is considered one of the best of World Heritage.

This island has an amazing way to spearhead dimension 78 km long and 38 km wide and about 1400 square meters. Rhodes is a little closer to Asia Minor, in comparison with the rest of Greece. Inland Rhodes is very mountainous and surrounded by dense pine forests and Cyprus. This island can also be called as the home of the deer of Rhodes. There are plenty of small towns towns and resorts around the island. Few of them are Lindos, Haraki, Pardisi, Embona and many more. main source of income here is tourism and local are totally dependent on tourism for their livelihood. This island also experienced several earthquakes. The most recent earthquake occurred in July 2008 by 6.3 magnitudes.

This island is also connected to other major cities in Greece and other European cities through several charter flights.

Rhodes has a total of five ports. Three of them are in the city of Rhodes, one on the east coast, near Lardos and a final on the west coast, near Kamiros. There are many amazing beaches of Rhodes. These beaches are crystal clear deep water and very beautiful. These are the main attraction of visitors and their singular beauty attracts many visitors. This beach is only 10 kms away from the main town. The main attraction of this beach is its medicinal hot springs. This island is very beautiful and gentle climate and surprising places. This island attracts more than million people per year from around the world. There are lots of hotels and resorts for visitors. This island is totally dependent on tourism and local population of this island continue to improve in order to attract more visitors and more.

Rhodes is an ideal island to visit. You can get around quite easily and bikini weather is from March to October.
