Only a dilemma for foreign visitors to Malta this summer - rocky or sandy beaches?

According to some, is a tap latent refusal to go to a beach sand and enjoy yourself. No matter how hard you wash and scrub is a microscopic specks inevitablilty that will leaving your body for days and days.

And try, if possible, to clean the inside of your car later. Ouch. Still, people enjoy the dampening effect of the beach gives while taking the sun and let's face it, what better way is there to keep children occupied during the endless hours building sand castles.

Malta's sandy beaches are often small and hidden in protected bays of difficult access, but there are some where large crowds gather in their droves to spend their holidays days between ice cream vendors, the forest of umbrellas and fast food restaurants. Ghadira Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha Bay, Golden Sands, Paradise Bay, Armier Bay Bonita Bay and provide the main beaches in Malta, while the bay of Xlendi, Marsalforn and invite splendid Ramla l-Hamra in Gozo. Also There are two sandy beaches of Comino - Santa Marija Bay and the Bay of San Niklaw.

The demand for sand beaches is always so loud that the Maltese authorities also have wisely - and quite successfully in San Jorge Bay and Bugibba - embarked on projects sitting on the beach for the extension of some of the smaller beaches conversion of sand and sandy patches of rocky shores in a concentrated effort to meet demand.

As I said, picking holes in the sand during weeks, could not be all tea. But for those who love, Malta has beaches almost enough to make your perfect holiday.

Although the sand is not the largest natural resources of Malta there are still plenty of beaches to choose from, most of which are located in the north of Malta and two in Gozo. Reach to those in the north of Malta is best done by car if you rent or bus or not. Others, like the Bay of San Jorge, are more centrally located. Your best bet is to check out a map and see which is closest to you!

But for those of you who are not too thrilled with the idea sand in every crevice, Malta boasts an abundant supply of rocky beaches. These sites are literally packed around the island are ideal places to take his daily swim, towel off and relaxed, without having to worry about sand getting in your ears.

Of course it is a matter of preference, compared to the sandy beach Dilemma rocky beach breaks visitors to Malta, at the choice. Some of the best beaches in Malta are rocky Anchor Bay, Ghar Lapsi, Marsascala Bay, Marsaxlokk Bay, Bay Mistra, Salinas Bay, St. Thomas Bay, St Paul's Bay and Sliema against Tues

There are also great rocky beaches in Marsalforn and Xlendi Bay Bay Gozo, Comino, while strange, barren island, soon caught the middle of the sea between Malta and Gozo, boasts in its Blue Lagoon, perhaps the clearest water on a rocky beach anywhere in the Mediterranean. Most rocky beaches have good facilities to shower, eat and relax. If you can not build sand castles, you can rent a boat or water skiing, while some of the major diving clubs operating from the rocky shores at very reasonable prices.

At night, it's a joy to return engaging fishermen there and see some interesting looking fish that swam the very point in a couple of hours earlier. The parties after the BBQ dinner to come next your heavy boxes of cold beer and enough food to feed a regiment. It's a completely different scene from day one that openly dictates the pace of life in the Mediterranean - Andante allegro. It will be difficult to change back to that one you left behind tempo .... if you still remember.

While the sand can not be the highlight of Malta, the rocks are something that we have a lot. So finding a rocky beach is generally as simple as walking out your front door. The vast majority of the coast of Malta open to the public and are normally people who swim from almost every available rock outcrops during the summer months. Just be careful of any signs warning that may be in place. And the sharp bits.
