Nerja Attractions - The beaches of Nerja

The towns along the Costa del Sol in Spain are well known for its idyllic beaches and Nerja is no different. In fact, the beaches of Nerja are the main attractions of the city and the main reason why tourists book apartments in Nerja, which may wish to consider, too.

If you are staying for a few days in Nerja, you may want to be in an apartment in Nerja near Playa de Burriana. Despite the fact that it is approximately twenty minutes from downtown, Burriana Beach is the most popular of all the beaches in Nerja for several reasons. First, is the largest beach. It is also the only one with a Blue Flag award, proof of safety and cleanliness in accordance with international standards.

The main reason Burriana beach attracts many tourists, however, because it has many commercial installations. Here you will find easy to rent an umbrella palm or a deck chair. You can even rent a jet-ski, scuba diving equipment surboard in the water sports center, and if you do not know no diving, introductory classes are available. You can even join a boat trip to see the rest of the Costa del Sol or simply stay and enjoy the scenery of a restaurants, bars and cafes along the coast, some of which come alive at night.

If you want a beach that is quieter, less people and closer to the city, head to Playa Playazo in place. This is a straight beach that stretches over two kilometers, making it the longest beach Nerja. Compared to the Burriana beach, however, is very rocky and has less bars and facilities, although there are portable toilets, showers and cabins during the summer. However, it is a pleasant place to stroll or have a family picnic.

Another good place for a walk is Torrecilla beach, located near the beach Playazo, especially with its new promenade. In fact, Playa Torrecilla has gone through a lot of renovation to be broader and more beautiful, and though still relatively few facilities, there are enough umbrellas and sunbeds for hire, along with the pedal boats. The best part about this beach, however, is that the water is calm and little deep, making them perfect for swimming.

Although one of the smaller beaches of Nerja, Calahonda beach or beach fishermen also offers breathtaking scenery. It is located right next to the Balcon de Europa, one of the main views of the city and its attractions, which makes it easy to find although it is harder to achieve than it looks for its steep trail. However, once you make your way down, you will be protected from the wind each side by rocks and even enjoy more privacy.

On the other side of the Balcon de Europa, is one of the more secluded beaches in Nerja called The Lounge from the beach, that is, if you do not miss the narrow road leading to it are paved, which is hidden in between the local church and a hotel. In fact, many visitors do not find this beach, but if you look closely, you'll be rewarded for their efforts soft sand and a beach bar excellent.

No matter what you're looking for you're sure to find one of the beaches of Nerja to your liking. And if not, you can always drive to one of the nearby beaches such as Playa Maro Costa Torrex beach or one of the Apartments in Nerja. You are on the Costa del Sol, after all, when some of the best beaches in Spain are.
