The beaches Pacific Ocean waves can have strong, and are great fun for sports fans plenty of water. Bonfil especially like surfers and Tres Vidas - beaches east of Revolcadero in the Diamond Zone. Within the bay the waves are usually mild, especially in the "traditional", which is like a creek in a cove. The Zone Golden on the east side of Acapulco Bay, Papagayo Park to the Naval Base, has wonderful water, sand, crowds and restaurants. In the midst of this is the Playa Condesa the party central during spring break.
Here's a quick tour of the highlights:
Pie de la Cuesta
Pie de la Cuesta ("FCS") is by miles of golden sand beaches. Behind Coyuca Laguna, where you will find peace, nature and good place to eat. This may be the best beach in the Pacific to watch the sun sink into the ocean at the end of the day. The waves can be strong here. Usually low People, Pie de la Cuesta is a favorite of couples.
Playas Caleta and Caletilla
Playas Caleta and its twin, Caletilla are the original and most traditional beaches of Acapulco. The aquarium and museum, Mágico Mundo Marino, is among them. Here is food and music and lots of family activity. The waters are calm. Originally Beach Hollywood stars of the 50s and 60s, Caleta and Caletilla now attract tourists and locals alike, especially those with children.
Roqueta and Marin Beaches
Take a water taxi or bottom boat Crystal Cove to Roqueta Island, where two beach awaits. Playa Playa Roqueta and Marin are quiet, rustic beaches in this natural reserve. They are a necessity to ecotourists or anyone who wants an escape. Roqueta Beach is close to where the boats dock. Marin Beach is a remote and undeveloped beach that can only be reached by a small walk to the other side of the island.
Narrow beach
Narrow beach (narrow beach ") is where people go to avoid the tourist crowds. This short strip of beach on the Pacific coast, between two high rocky outcrop, one entrance to the east of La Quebrada, where divers perform. From mid-August to mid-April you can see the sunset in the Pacific. It is the only beach in Acapulco appropriate to offer this point view. Several local seafood restaurants serve food, beer and soft drinks.
Beaches in Manzanillo and Honda
These neighbors are in the bay between Caleta and downtown. Look for the lighthouse or the marina. Several traditional seafood restaurants can be found on these beaches very popular. Fishermen moor their boats near here, and there is a cemetery nearby vessels.
Playa Tlacopanocha
Tlacopanocha is a popular beach at the end of the waterfront (the Malecon). Here you can see the cruise ships come and go during the season, as the marine terminal is near.
Hammocks Beach, Tamarindo, Hornos, Hornitos
These four beaches extend from the center Marine Terminal near Papagayo Park. They are the other beaches in Acapulco for the "Nautical Zone" or "Traditional Area." Hammocks Beach is wide and flat, most visited by fishermen sunbathers. Tamarind and Horn are long beaches, stretching to the bay to the east. Large coconut palms line of the entries in the sidewalk along the Coast. They have great restaurants, beach umbrellas, deck chairs, tables and calm waves. Plenty of space for children to run around. These beaches are mostly enjoyed by families. Hornitos is the last beach before the start of the "Golden Zone of Acapulco." What is right in front of pole of the main city flag at the entrance to Papagayo Park.
Morro Beach
Morro Beach, just off the roundabout the statue of Diana, is a transition from the traditional (more family oriented) to the party focus of Condesa Beach farther east. Just off the coast in Water is a mountainous island (a hill), so it's easy to find. Currents here can be more difficult than the beaches closer to town.
Playa Condesa
Playa Condesa is located in the center of the "Golden Zone of Acapulco" (Parque Papagayo the Naval Base). A large rock (called "La Redonda") is only a few meters offshore. Condesa has plenty of bars and nightclubs, and there is always a crowd whether by day or night. This is the happening place for party animals, especially during Spring Break. A segment of the Countess (under "Beto") is a popular beach for gays. Water can get around the bite offshore rock formations, but there is always something happening at the arena.
Icacos Beach
Playa Icacos, second Golden Zone happening beach is much wider than the Countess of the sea to the back wall with clear water and clean sand. As the Condesa, all kinds of water activities can be arranged, such as water skiing, jet skiing and walks. Hotels and apartments in Costa Azul provide most part of the swimmers, so people tend to be somewhat older than in Condesa and some more quality than in the traditional area.

Acapulco Diamante residents do not hesitate to say that Playa Playa Puerto Marques and Majahua are the best beaches in the city - especially in the evening and early morning afternoon. Small compared to the beaches along the bay, which seem more warm and tropical, as they are set in the lush mangroves around Puerto Marqués. The waters are calm. Tourists do not seem to come to these shores, preferring extensions greatest Revolcadero Diamond Beach. Good shopping and eating but also right at hand.
Playa Revolcadero
Revolcadero Beach (beach drum ") and Playa Diamonds are actually a long, wide strip of sand in the Pacific Ocean, near the Fairmont Hotel (Acapulco Princess and Pierre Marques) and the Mayan Palace. These are three of the Acapulco's most luxurious resorts. Here, the chic and fashion come enjoy the sun. take serious swimmers to enjoy the great waves that come rolling in. Unlike waters of the bay, the surf on Revolcadero can be very strong.
Long Beach
Long Beach ("Long Beach ") seems to never end, east of Revolcadero, and continuing to Barra Vieja, miles away. The airport property is located behind some it. This is a place for ecotourism, or quiet retreat with nature. There are campsites, a nursery for sea turtles and a couple of places to spend the night. There are too many services (Such as umbrellas and chairs), some restaurants, and vendors. Access by car is recommended (no public transport).
Playa Bonfil
After Playa Bonfil Playa Larga is also very quiet and busy. Here the waves strong enough to provide decent navigation. Has a white background sand. The waves come to the right and left. There is not much in the way of services.
Tres Vidas
Playa Tres Vidas (Three lives beach) is even further down the coast of Acapulco Diamante and near Barra Vieja. An exclusive golf resort has been built here. There are few visitors, not guests boutique hotel in the golf club, lovers and surfers.
Barra Vieja
In the far east of Acapulco, about 20 miles away, is a fishing village called Barra Vieja (old arena [bar]). Here you will find several restaurants and beach clubs, some of them quite first class. They offer parking, showers, and beach facilities. You can eat, drink, sleep in hammocks, swim in the pool, the sun on the beach - whatever you want. Such may be the closest thing to a real tropical paradise can be found nowadays. Make sure you choose your club carefully beach or get a recommendation.
