Tips for organizing an unforgettable Luau

The word luau means "feast" in the Hawaiian language. Luaus means more than good food, however - they referred to a meeting for much fun too! So here are some tips for organizing a truly memorable luau.
First, establish a budget and allow sufficient time to plan and establish the luau. In Hawaiian tradition, real luaus took months to prepare, because Hawaiians had none of the labor saving devices of today. So take advantage of the timing of calculators, and party supply stores.

And since it is a luau practice the culture of the South Pacific, which "tropical" when creating party plans. Use decorations like torches tiki, along with clippings from palm shells, candles, necklaces, straw hats, grass skirts, silk flowers, brightly colored streamers. In other words, go "nuts" bright tropical decor.

Fun in a real luau involves games and tests of skill and strength. If young people are invited to consider having their own chain of fake flowers leis and fishing line. Give a touch of home to Hawaii to play games "Hot coco "instead of" hot potato "or" Pin the tail on Piggy. "Adults and older children can participate in a spear or darts competitions racing around an obstacle course (not the fire dancing, please!). The prizes for these games can include small, tropical-themed toys and gadgets children, or some Kona coffee, one of the largest exports of Hawaii, by adults.

No luau would be complete without Hawaiian island music. Part stores usually have the CDs of tunes and songs beach in Hawaii, as do libraries, friends or online music sites.

The most important thing to remember about a Hawaiian luau is that it is fun and living together - for the hosts and guests.
